Robert Morden (1650-1703) was an English cartographer and publisher of atlases.
DESCRIPTION:
Very aesthetic coloured copper engraving by the English cartographer Robert Morden. The copper engraving shows the area of South Wales. This map is beside those of North Wales and the English Counties his best known one. Sadly, this exemplar comes from a collection of different maps, so the publishing date is unknown. Due to the publishing dates of this map, it is estimated to the 18. century about 1750. Illustrated are the districts of South Wales with landscape regions, cordilleras, rivers and cities. Decorated ist the copper engraving with a nice title cartouche.
