The German painter Siegmar Jugelt was born in Dresden in 1954. After attending a polytechnic secondary school, he studied art porcelain painting at the painting school of the State Porcelain Manufactory in Meissen. Jugelt soon began using other surfaces for his delicate paintings, namely canvas and wood. In 1978, Jugelt opened his first official exhibition at the Kulturhaus Dresden, followed by exhibitions in Riesa, Saxony, at the Kreis-Kulturzentrum Meissen and at the Galerie Meissen, and in Tokyo in 1992.
In the mid-1980s, Jugelt traveled to West Germany, where he worked as a porcelain painter at the Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory. Jugelt has been a freelance artist since 1987. In addition to cityscapes and historical views, he paints landscapes and animals in oil. Jugelt works with the utmost precision and to a high standard. His works radiate calm and harmony, contrasting with today's often restless everyday life. Jugelt lives and works in Bavaria. His works can be found in renowned galleries and art exhibitions throughout Europe. The artist is listed on the Artprice artist portal, among others.
DESCRIPTION:
Two charming little white West Highland Terriers in a flower meadow, very beautiful, sensitive depictions of animals, high-quality framed painting. Oil on wood, signed (Siegmar) Jugelt, undated. There is a small groove/indentation approximately 16 cm wide at the top edge of the painting, which is only visible at a certain angle of light. No loss of color, no impairment of appearance—see detailed photos 8 and 9, which show the reflections of the groove.
