Ursula Annemarie Bückner, was born on May 13, 1936, and passed away on July 9, 2026. The former teacher had lived in Markkleeberg, the large county seat in the Leipzig district of Saxony, since 1966. She had been working successfully as a freelance painter since 1995. Among other things, Ursula Bückner attended the evening program at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig. Many of the painter’s works serve as chronological records of Markkleeberg’s urban development. The painter captures the changes in Markkleeberg’s streets and along its two lakes. Her watercolors are declarations of love for this city. As a graphic artist and watercolorist, she was constantly on the lookout for characteristic motifs and impressions in the built environment and nature , which she rendered with sensitivity and attention to detail. The artist presented the fruits of her work in numerous exhibitions.
