Szabó Dezső was a well known Hungarian artist, born 1888 in Siklós, died 1971 in Budapest.
He studied at the Academy of fine arts in Budapest und was a student of János Vaszary. His teachers were also Ferenczy Károly, Kálmán Péter and Franz Stuck.
Szabo Dezsö was a representative of Post-Impressionism and he mainly painted landscapes, still lifes and portraits. His works have been shown in many exhibitions in Hungary and abroad. Some of his works can be seen in the Hungarian National Museum and the Hungarian National Gallery.
