ARTIST:
Saane Süßmilch, born 1957 in Saalfeld (Thuringia, Germany), since her early childhood days she was influenced by art and got private instructions in painting and drawing by the German artist Herbert Strecha. After her apprenticeship as an electrical fitter at Leipzig Opera, Süßmilch found her passion back to art and painting in 1994 and became an important element of the contemporary art scene in Leipzig. Various work stays in Southern countries characterized her style of painting in colouring and choice of motifs, her inspiration from nature and apparent snapshots she equips colourful, her motifs either appear as sketches or are illustrated with esprit and subtle irony. The 'Galerie Hotel Leipziger Hof' holds a collection with works of Saane Süßmilch and presented them in various exhibtions and auctions.
