Artist:
Hermann Kraemer (born 1808, died 7 May 1886 in Munich) was a German architectural and landscape painter of the 19th century. He worked mainly in Berlin, southern Germany and Tyrol.
Kraemer worked in Essen around 1869 and then lived in Berlin for several years before he died in Munich in 1886. Kraemer preferred to create oil paintings and watercolours with southern German, Märkisch and Tyrolean motifs. Many of his watercolours were created using a mixed technique. Kraemer accentuated his watercolours by using pastel chalks, thus not only attracting attention with his great sense of perspective, but also leaving a personal nuance in his works.
Between 1852 and 1874, Kraemer exhibited several times at the Academy Exhibition in Berlin. For example, Hermann Kraemer is listed with four works in the catalogue of works by living artists at the 1860 exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin in the Landesausstellungsgebäude. He was also represented with seven works at the Berlin Academy exhibition in 1852. He also participated in an art exhibition in Brussels in 1869.
Works by Hermann Kraemer were shown in numerous exhibitions, e.g:
1852: Art exhibition of the Royal Academy in Berlin
1856: Art exhibition of the Royal Academy in Berlin
1860: 43rd Art Exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin
    1869: Art exhibition in Brussels
1874: Art exhibition of the Royal Academy
1884:  Exhibition of the Royal Academy of Arts
