ARTIST:
Sighard Gille, born in 1941, is a painter from Leipzig. He attended the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig and studied painting under Wolfgang Mattheuer and Bernhard Heisig, at whom he also was master-class student. In 1992 he was appointed professor at HGB Leipzig, he is well known for his floor painting at Gewandhaus Leipzig.
