The work 'Les Délices de la Grand' Bretagne, & de l'Irelande' has continuing its value because of the fine copperplate engravings and the detailed informations it gives about the inhabitants, their customs, speech and religion.
The antology was printed by the Dutch mapmaker and publisher Pieter van der Aa, who specialized on topography, travel and natural history and is best known of his maps and atlases.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Interesting, detailed and fine copperplate engraving view by James Beeverell and Pieter van der Aa taken from the antology 'Les Délices de la Grand'Bretagne et de L'Irlande' (1727), showing the St. James Palace and Park in London, England.
The print shows on the right-top of the page the imprinting Pag. 935 b. The nice looking title cartouche also shows an emblem, with the imprint 'Dieu et mon droit'.

leaf approx.  h 15,2 cm x w 17,4 cm

CONDITION:
The print is in  very good condition and free of damages. The paper has three foldings and is minimal stained and yellowed.
The print of the copper engraving is still strong and clear. The right side of the paper - not the view - has been cut. The paper shows a watermark.
