Copper engraving map from the 3rd edition of the Atlas Historique by Henri Abraham Chatelain, published in Amsterdam, 1721 by Chez Zacharie Chatelain. In centre the copper engraving shows a detailed illustration of Italy at 1. time of Caesar's reign, 2. time of the Roman Republic and 3. lifetime of Chatelain. Below this illustration a small image of the Ancient Rome, surrounded by interesting figurative illustrations at pageant and at conquest of Rome. At left and right half detailed descriptions of regions and inhabitants as well as rivers and lakes.
