Charming oil painting by the Austrian painter Georg Fischhof, signed with his pseudonym 'J. Wagner' and framed, about 1900. The painting shows an idyllic harbour scenery with boats of a small Dutch city, while dark clouds are hanging over the sky. This painting plays with the effect of the strong colours as well as the interaction of light and shadow. The sun reflects in the water and boats cast long shadows.
